Basketball Game Preview: Saguaro Sabercats vs. Sahuaro Cougars + How To Watch

The Saguaro Sabercats will head out to take on the Sahuaro Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Sahuaro will be up against a hot Saguaro team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. The Sabercats blew past Crismon 83-38 on Monday.

Saguaro's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bentley Elrod, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave Elrod a new career-high in field goal percentage (88%). Nas Hailey was another key player, shooting 69% from the field on his way to 22 points.

Meanwhile, Sahuaro blew past Pueblo, posting a 79-45 win. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won four in a row.

Saguaro's record now sits at 5-0. As for Sahuaro, their record is now 8-0.

Saguaro couldn't quite get it done against Sahuaro when the teams last played back in December of 2024 as they fell 67-56. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Cougars' Cisco Llamas, who posted 25 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
