Softball Recap: Temple Christian Wins Going Away Against Westover Christian Academy

Temple Christian's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the Westover Christian Academy Bulldogs 20-0. The Crusaders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Addison Camden and Reagan Hensley were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Camden tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Hensley pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Camden posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. At the plate, Camden scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while Hensley scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Temple Christian let Alyssa Conner and Paylin Harris run wild. Conner scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3, while Harris scored three runs while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Cooper, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

The victory got Temple Christian back to even at 1-1.

Coincidentally, Temple Christian and Westover Christian Academy will both be playing Kenston Forest the next time they take the field. Temple Christian will head out to face Kenston Forest at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Westover Christian Academy will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
