Volleyball Recap: Maeli Quintana and Lauren Rich Secure Win for Bayfield

Bayfield waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Centauri Falcons 3-0. This was payback for the Wolverines, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Bayfield was led to victory by Lauren Rich and Maeli Quintana. Rich had 14 digs and two aces, while Quintana had eight digs. That's the most digs Quintana has posted since back in August. Lily Muir also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Bayfield's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Centauri, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 8-4.

Bayfield has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Alamosa on the 27th. Centauri has also already played their next matchup (against Montezuma-Cortez), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
