While Red Jacket has struggled on the road with five straight losses dating back to last season, that wasn't the case on Monday thanks to Alyssa Griffith. Red Jacket walked away with a 40-31 victory over the Romulus Warriors thanks in part to Griffith, who posted ten points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. She is becoming a predictor of Red Jacket's success: when she posts at least three steals the team is 3-1 (and 0-4 when she doesn't).

McKenna Rush was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 13 points and nine boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Red Jacket's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Romulus, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Red Jacket won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Dundee/Bradford Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Romulus, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Honeoye at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
