Volleyball Game Preview: Mescalero Apache Chiefs vs. Lordsburg Mavericks

The Mescalero Apache Chiefs will square off against the Lordsburg Mavericks at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Mescalero Apache turned things around against Capitan on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Tigers.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-23, 20-25, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Lordsburg got the win against Capitan on Saturday by a conclusive 3-0. The Mavericks haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-11, 25-19.

Lordsburg's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Mescalero Apache, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-17.
