It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Hillcrest ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Orange Vista Coyotes, sneaking past 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Coyotes on Wednesday, they had to take a 5-3 loss.

Hillcrest now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Orange Vista, they dropped their record down to 4-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Hillcrest will head out to face off against La Sierra at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Orange Vista, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Citrus Hill at 3:15 p.m. on April 8.
