Basketball Recap: Houlton Gets the Win

Houlton's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They rang in the new year with a 57-44 win over the Bucksport Golden Bucks. This was payback for the Shiretowners, who suffered a 54-52 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The victory got Houlton back to even at 3-3. As for Bucksport, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Houlton will challenge Orono at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bucksport, they will square off against Foxcroft Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
