Volleyball Game Preview: McClave Cardinals vs. Hi-Plains Patriots

The McClave Cardinals will square off against the Hi-Plains Patriots at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. McClave will be strutting in after a win while Hi-Plains will be coming in after a loss.

It was a proper cat-fight when McClave took on Granada on Tuesday. The Cardinals put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 3-0 victory.

One reason for the win was McClave's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-15, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Hi-Plains unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-match winning streak on Friday. They came up short against Fleming, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Patriots have suffered since September 4th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-11, 25-20.

Hi-Plains' loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for McClave, they pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

McClave took their victory against Hi-Plains in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Cardinals repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
