Baseball Game Preview: McKinney North Bulldogs vs. Lake Belton Broncos

For the second straight game, McKinney North will face off against Lake Belton. The Bulldogs will square off against the Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McKinney North will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

McKinney North is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top against Lake Belton by a score of 4-1.

Brooks Nelson made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Nelson was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

Nelson wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Brady Shelton, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

With the loss, Lake Belton broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 26-6-2. As for McKinney North, their victory bumped their record up to 16-12-1.
