Basketball Recap: Wethersfield Comes Up Short

Wethersfield lost against Glastonbury back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wethersfield Eagles had to suffer through a 80-28 loss at the hands of the Glastonbury Guardians. The match marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

David Smith was his usual excellent self, going 7 of 13 en route to 20 points and six rebounds for Glastonbury. Smith's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Khian Morris, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 14 points.

Wethersfield's defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Glastonbury, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wethersfield will host Maloney at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Glastonbury, they will challenge Tolland at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
