Recap: Uintah Utes vs. Union Cougars
The Uintah Utes had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Union with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 44-27. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Uintah has managed all season.
Leading Uintah to victory were Zoey Glenn and Mackenzie White. Glenn scored six points along with eight rebounds and five steals, while White scored 11 points along with six assists. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlee Gilroy, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Uintah's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8. As for Union, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Uintah will be staying on the road on January 5, 2024 to face off against Bear River at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Union will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Grantsville at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
