Baseball Recap: Shadow Ridge Stallions vs. Highland Hawks

Shadow Ridge and Highland squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but sadly Shadow Ridge had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Highland Hawks by a score of 4-2. Shadow Ridge's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Jack Langley put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits. Langley has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Langley was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Langley wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Owen Gorman, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
