Basketball Recap: Mifflin Triumphs

After losing to Franklin Heights the last time they met, Mifflin decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Punchers came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 69-59 on Monday.

Nashawn Mitchell went supernova, putting up 21 points along with six steals and five rebounds. What's more, he posted two blocks, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. David McCluney was another key player, earning 13 points and five boards.

The victory got Mifflin back to even at 1-1. As for Franklin Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Mifflin will square off against Briggs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Franklin Heights, they will take on West at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
