Soccer Game Preview: Miramar vs. Piper

The Miramar Patriots will venture away from home to challenge the Piper Bengals at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Miramar's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Miramar is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Cooper City on Thursday. The Patriots lost 4-1 to the Cowboys. Miramar fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Cooper City since Thursday.

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, Piper was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They came up short against Monarch, falling 4-0. Piper have struggled against Monarch recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Piper's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-4. As for Miramar, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.

Miramar couldn't quite get it done against Piper in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Patriots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
