Basketball Game Preview: Riverview Academy of Math and Science Barracudas vs. Geneva Classical Academy Knights

The Riverview Academy of Math and Science Barracudas will challenge the Geneva Classical Academy Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverview Academy of Math and Science is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.2 points per game this season.

Last Wednesday, Riverview Academy of Math and Science strolled past Universal Academy with points to spare, taking the game 63-46. The Barracudas pushed the score to 48-26 by the end of the third, a deficit the Falcons cut but never quite recovered from.

Riverview Academy of Math and Science's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caden Cook, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 12 points in addition to six rebounds and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Shawn Swearingen, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 12 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Riverview Academy of Math and Science smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in six consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Geneva Classical Academy sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 50-47 victory over Ruskin Christian on Tuesday.

Riverview Academy of Math and Science is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.4 points per game. As for Geneva Classical Academy, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
