Basketball Recap: Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Piles Up the Points Against Tekamah-Herman

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Logan View/Scribner-Snyder). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Tekamah-Herman Tigers 56-18. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-9.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder was led to victory by Jayde Kreifels and Keegan Francis. Kreifels almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds, while Francis went 6 of 12 on her way to 15 points and eight steals. With that strong performance, Francis is now averaging an impressive 2.6 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Callie Stockamp, who posted six points and four steals.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in five consecutive contests.

With the win, Logan View/Scribner-Snyder broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-4. As for Tekamah-Herman, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder and Elmwood-Murdock will round out the year against one another at at 1:30 p.m. on December 28th. Elmwood-Murdock will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Logan View/Scribner-Snyder surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tekamah-Herman, they and Omaha Christian Academy will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Tekamah-Herman is facing Omaha Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Omaha Christian Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
