Soccer Game Preview: Douglas County vs. Doherty + How To Watch

The Douglas County Huskies will take on the Doherty Spartans at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Douglas County and six for Doherty.

Douglas County came up short against ThunderRidge on Thursday, falling 6-1. Douglas County were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 3-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Peyton Michael, who's now up to four this season.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Doherty's offense. They lost 7-0 to Pine Creek on Monday. While losing is never fun, Doherty can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 111th, while Pine Creek are ranked 11th).

Doherty's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Douglas County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.

Douglas County got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against Doherty by a conclusive 5-1 score. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
