Soccer Recap: Piedmont Plays to a Tie

The Piedmont Panthers and the Asheboro Blue Comets finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Wednesday. The outcome might've been different if Jackson O'Hare hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited his ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Brody Drake and Jagger Jordan scored both of Piedmont's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

With that draw, Piedmont's record moves to 1-0-2. Meanwhile, Asheboro's record is now 2-1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Piedmont will venture away from home to square off against Montgomery Central at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Asheboro, they will head out to face off against Mooresville at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Mooresville's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
