Basketball Game Preview: Fort Collins Lambkins vs. Greeley West Spartans

Fort Collins and Greeley West are an even 4-4 against one another since February of 2015, but not for long. The Fort Collins Lambkins will be playing in front of their home fans against the Greeley West Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Fort Collins and eight for Greeley West.

On Tuesday, Fort Collins had to suffer through a 75-45 loss at the hands of Windsor. While losing is never fun, the Lambkins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 198th, while the Wizards are ranked 29th).

Finn Reiser put forth a good effort for the losing side as he went 6 of 9 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Spiro Palmer, who posted nine points.

Meanwhile, Greeley West played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 81-56 to Loveland.

Fort Collins' loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Greeley West, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.

Everything went Fort Collins' way against Greeley West when the teams last played back in December of 2021, as Fort Collins made off with a 74-48 win. Will Fort Collins repeat their success, or does Greeley West have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
