Basketball Game Preview: St. John's Bluejays vs. Fort Recovery Indians

The St. John's Bluejays will take on the Fort Recovery Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in St. John's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches.

St. John's is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing New Knoxville: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that St. John's blew New Knoxville out of the water with a 74-27 final score. The Bluejays have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Fort Recovery ended up a good deal behind Versailles on Friday and lost 56-41. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 530th, while the Tigers are ranked 133rd).

St. John's pushed their record up to 18-1 with the win, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Fort Recovery, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 14 matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Everything went St. John's way against Fort Recovery in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as St. John's made off with a 76-56 victory. In that contest, St. John's amassed a halftime lead of 47-22, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
