Baseball Game Preview: D.C. Everest Evergreens vs. Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln Red Raiders

The D.C. Everest Evergreens will square off against the Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln Red Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. D.C. Everest is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

On Thursday, it was close, but D.C. Everest sidestepped Wausau East for a 5-3 win. That's two games straight that the Evergreens have won by exactly two runs.

La Crosse Central hit Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln with a six-run fourth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Red Raiders came up short against the Riverhawks, falling 11-3. The Red Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

D.C. Everest pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

D.C. Everest beat Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln 5-1 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Evergreens repeat their success, or do the Red Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
