Basketball Game Preview: Mendota Trojans vs. Hall Red Devils

Mendota and Hall are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2022, but not for long. The Mendota Trojans will head out to square off against the Hall Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mendota will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Mendota will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Newman Central Catholic, who they had gone 1-6 against in their seven prior meetings. Mendota narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Newman Central Catholic 57-55.

Meanwhile, Hall was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 51-45 to Erie-Prophetstown. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hall's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Mendota, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a massive bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Mendota strolled past Hall in their previous meeting last Friday by a score of 75-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mendota since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
