Softball Recap: Straughn Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Straughn's offense. They fell just short of the Dale County Warriors by a score of 2-0 on Friday. The Tigers have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Straughn's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Dale County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-8.

Coming up, Straughn will head out to take on Pike County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Dale County, they will be taking part in a tournament against Pike Road at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
