Baseball Recap: Parkway South Comes Up Short

The Parkway South Patriots came up short against the Howell Vikings on Tuesday and fell 6-3. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Parkway South saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Kraft, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Those hits marked the first that Kraft has got this season. Jamison Lombardo was another, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Parkway South's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Howell, they are on a roll lately: they've won 22 of their last 23 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-2 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Howell beat Parkway South by a score of 6-4 later that day.
