Volleyball Recap: Trinity Christian Academy's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Trinity Christian Academy had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They put the hurt on the Maud Cardinals with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Warriors were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Cardinals, so the Warriors were just returning the favor.

While Trinity Christian Academy might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Maud scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 25-21.

Trinity Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Abby Merritt out in front who had ten digs and four aces. That's the most aces Merritt has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Cenzie Pyeatt, who had five kills, three digs, and two aces.

Trinity Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Maud, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian Academy will square off against Yantis at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors are facing the Owls at the right time seeing as the Owls are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Maud, they will challenge Avery at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
