Doddridge County waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Lewis County Minutemen.

Kamryn Satterfield was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed 6.1 innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brooke Dehaven, who went 3-for-4 with six stolen bases and three runs. Those six stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maysun Gagnon, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Doddridge County's record is now 16-11. As for Lewis County, they dropped their record down to 12-10 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Doddridge County will be playing in front of their home fans against Wirt County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lewis County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
