Fenton Vasak put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March on Thursday. He struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He is becoming a predictor of Ferndale's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 5-1 (and 5-7 when he doesn't).
