Baseball Game Preview: Hawthorne Cougars vs. Beverly Hills Normans

Hawthorne hasn't had much luck against Beverly Hills recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Hawthorne will take on Beverly Hills at 3:15 p.m. Beverly Hills took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Hawthorne, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Hawthorne turned things around against Animo City of Champions on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 30-1 margin over the Wildcats. Considering the Cougars' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, Beverly Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against Santa Monica, falling 12-3.

Race Findley was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-5. As for Beverly Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7-1.

Hawthorne suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Beverly Hills when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Hawthorne avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
