Baseball Recap: Paso Robles Bearcats vs. Piedmont Highlanders
Paso Robles posted their closest win since April 3, 2025 on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Piedmont Highlanders.
Spencer Roby looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.
On the hitting side, Ethan Rendon was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Xander Hermanson, who earned one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.
Paso Robles' win bumped their record up to 10-7-1. As for Piedmont, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8-2.
Coming up, Paso Robles will be playing in front of their home fans against Dublin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Gaels will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Bearcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Piedmont, they will be taking part in a tournament against Nipomo at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
