Football Recap: Charlestown Pirates vs. North Harrison Cougars

After flying high against Clarksville last Friday, Charlestown came back down to earth. The Charlestown Pirates wound up with the same score they had in their last game (35-6), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The result was an unpleasant reminder to them of the 34-22 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

Bryce Fessel was a one-man wrecking crew for North Harrison as he rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown. Fessel's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 122 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Charlestown's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for North Harrison, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Charlestown will head out to take on Providence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Providence will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Charlestown surely won't give up without a fight. As for North Harrison, they will square off against Brownstown Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brownstown Central has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 171 points over their last three matches.
