Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask United). They breezed past the Del Rio Rams to the tune of  48-10 on Saturday. Given the Longhorns' advantage  in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 287th, while the Rams are ranked 814th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
United's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Colt Lozano led the charge by picking up 152 receiving yards and a pair of  scores. Lozano's receiving production has been exceptional  recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 108  receiving yards.  Jorge Luna was another key signal caller, throwing for 341 yards and three  TDs while picking up 11.8 yards per attempt.
 On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to United's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess:  Eric Hernandez,  Dariel Trevizo,  and  Humberto Salas, who each picked up one  sack apiece. Another thorn in Del Rio's side was  Hernandez, who picked up  a  sack, forced one fumble,  and made nine total tackles (2.0 for loss).
The  win was  the fourth in a row for United, bringing their record up to 5-1. The  victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 36.8 points over those games. As for Del Rio,  they are  on  an  eight-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.
 United has already played their next contest,  a  38-35  loss against Medina Valley on the 17th. As for Del Rio, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  28-10  defeat against United South on the 17th.
