Volleyball Recap: Lakota West Gets the Win

The Lakota West Firebirds earned a 2-0 victory over the Stivers School for the Arts Tigers on Saturday.

Allie Steckman was nothing short of spectacular: she had ten aces and ten assists. Those ten aces gave her a new career-high.

Steckman wasn't the only good server: Lakota West was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in six consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Lakota West now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Stivers School for the Arts, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Lakota West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Chaminade Julienne Catholic on the 23rd. As for Stivers School for the Arts, they will challenge Ponitz Career Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
