Livermore had lost four games straight , but after bumping their record up to 13-11 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They never let the Granada Matadors get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Cowboys: when they faced off against the Matadors on Wednesday, they had to take a 18-4 defeat.
Hayden Maas was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.
As for Granada, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-5. The shutout was out of character for they seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.
On Granada's side, they got a good showing from Mason Ravera, who pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest earned runs Ravera has allowed since back in April.
On the hitting side, Granada saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Richards, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
