            The Hale Ray Noises will face off against the Old Lyme Wildcats at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Hale Ray is coming into the  contest hot, having won their last ten games.
Hale Ray had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Cromwell on Saturday. The Noises were the clear victors by  a  7-1 margin over the Panthers. Considering the Noises have won 13 matchups by more than five  runs this season, Saturday's  blowout was nothing new.

 The team  relied heavily on  Cate Tarnowski, who  went 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases, one  run,  and one  RBI. Those  two  stolen bases gave  her a new career-high.  Autumn Landry was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with two  doubles and one  run.
 Meanwhile,  with a playoff win on the line, Old Lyme rose to the challenge  on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Cougars  4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Wildcats have posted  since April 16th.
 Hale Ray pushed their record up to 18-3 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  at home. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Old Lyme, they now  have a winning record of 10-9.
