Football Recap: New Rochelle Takes a Loss

New Rochelle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Mamaroneck Tigers, falling 40-20. The Huguenots were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

New Rochelle's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Mamaroneck, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. New Rochelle will take on rival Clarkstown South at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Mamaroneck is set to square off against their familiar foe John Jay at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Tigers 8.3, the Patriots 10.3) so any points scored will be well earned.
