Softball Game Preview: Staples Wreckers vs. Westhill Vikings

The Staples Wreckers will head out to face off against the Westhill Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Staples is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

Staples made up a huge gap compared to their last game against St. Joseph, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wreckers fell just short of the Cadets by a score of 4-2 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Westhill was able to grind out a solid victory over Greenwich on Saturday, taking the game 7-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Staples' defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Westhill, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.

Staples beat Westhill 17-13 in their previous meeting back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wreckers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
