Basketball Recap: Bethany Christian Beats Bloomfield Christian School for Their 12th Straight Victory

Bethany Christian waltzed into their game on Thursday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bloomfield Christian School Defenders, sneaking past 46-43. That's more bragging rights for Bethany Christian, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bethany Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Luca Halalau, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Halalau's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Nathaniel Byers was another key player, putting up 13 points and six assists.

Bethany Christian's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. As for Bloomfield Christian School, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.

Looking ahead, Bethany Christian will face off against Fellowship Baptist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethany Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.6 points per game this season. As for Bloomfield Christian School, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 71-20 victory against Bridgeport Baptist Academy on the 14th.
