Shaker snaps five-game streak of wins at home

Recap: Shaker Bison vs. Colonie Central Raiders
The Shaker Bison lost against the Colonie Central Raiders back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Shaker fell 60-47 to Colonie Central. It was the first time this season that Shaker let down their fans at home.
Despite the loss, Shaker saw an underclassman step up: Peyton Hoblock scored 23 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Niahm Kelly, who scored two points.
Shaker's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-4. As for Colonie Central, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Shaker won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Our Lady of Lourdes at 3:00 p.m. on January 13th. Our Lady of Lourdes has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Colonie Central on the road again on Sunday and play against Cardinal Ritter College Prep at 10:00 a.m. on January 14th. Cardinal Ritter College Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Colonie Central in their respective states (Cardinal Ritter College Prep is ranked tenth in Missouri, while Colonie Central is ranked 124th in New York).
