Softball Recap: Swan Valley Victorious

Swan Valley won the last time they faced Birch Run and things went their way on Thursday too. The Vikings walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Panthers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Mia Robinson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Chloe Bryce, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Greer Diefenbach, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Swan Valley's win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Birch Run, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-9 record.

As of now, neither Swan Valley nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
