Basketball Game Preview: Central Lions vs. Griffin Bears

The Central Lions will square off against the Griffin Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

On Thursday, Central earned a 69-56 victory over Northside. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Patriots are ranked 283rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Griffin beat Mundy's Mill 58-52 on Tuesday.

Griffin is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Central, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.
