Recap: St. Paul Lutheran Giants vs. Valley Vikings
The St. Paul Lutheran Giants won the last time they faced the Valley Vikings, and things went their way on Friday too. St. Paul Lutheran walked away with a 42-35 win over Valley. The win made it back-to-back wins for St. Paul Lutheran.
Mia Sherrill was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of St. Paul Lutheran's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Pippa Detring, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
St. Paul Lutheran is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
St. Paul Lutheran will be playing at home against Lesterville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bourbon at 5:30 p.m. on January 8th.
