Football Recap: Vinita Comes Up Short

Vinita was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a hard 22-7 fall against the Miami Wardogs. The Hornets lost against the Wardogs in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 41-0 score last time.

Vinita's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Miami, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Vinita and Miami will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Hornets see the field they'll take on Sequoyah at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Miami, their break will end when they face Oologah at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.
