            Baseball Recap: Eastbrook Panthers vs. Southern Wells Raiders        
        
		
        
        
            Southern Wells hit Eastbrook with a eight-run fourth inning  on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers came up short against  the Raiders, falling  9-3. Surprisingly, this marked the Panthers' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
Eastbrook got a good showing from  Westin Martin, who   struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. That's the first time  Martin hasn't allowed a single  earned run since back in May of 2024.
 At the plate,  Jacob McDermit made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-4 with three  stolen bases and one  run. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ryder Gipson, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  stolen base.
Eastbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Southern Wells, their record now sits at 5-2.
 Eastbrook has already played their next game,  a  13-0  victory against Northfield on the 17th. As for Southern Wells, they will face off against South Adams at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday.
