Basketball Recap: Wawasee Comes Up Short

Wawasee lost against NorthWood back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wawasee Warriors took a blow against the NorthWood Panthers, falling 69-33. The game marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Wawasee and nudges their season record down to 3-8. As for NorthWood, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wawasee won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Prairie Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Wawasee is facing Prairie Heights at the right time seeing as Prairie Heights is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for NorthWood, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against South Bend St. Joseph at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st.
