Volleyball Recap: Madison Extends Winning Streak to Four

Madison entered their tilt with Southwestern on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Rebels. The Cubs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rebels, too.

Madison never let Southwestern on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-15, 25-23.

Madison was led to victory by Ava Canida and Audrey Miller. Canida had 15 digs and five assists, while Miller hit 62.5% for five kills and five digs and two aces. What's more, Miller racked up 38 assists, the most she's had over her last six matchups.

They weren't the only good servers: Madison was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in five consecutive contests.

Madison's record now sits at 15-6. As for Southwestern, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Madison has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Jeffersonville on the 25th. As for Southwestern, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Clarksville on the 27th.
