Oswego East is 7-2 against Plainfield Central since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Wolves will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Plainfield Central better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Oswego East's game on Wednesday is any indication, that's when Oswego East really gets things going. Wolves blew past Joliet West 4-1. Oswego East haven't had any issues with Joliet West recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Plainfield Central entered their tilt with Romeoville on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. Their defense stepped up to hand the Spartans a 4-0 shutout. The contest was close at halftime, but Plainfield Central turned on the heat in the second half with three goals.

Plainfield Central's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four matches. As for Oswego East, they now have a winning record of 6-5-6.

Oswego East came out on top in a nail-biter against Plainfield Central in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Do Wolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
