Basketball Recap: Oxbow Comes Up Short

Oxbow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 62-45 bruising from the Hazen Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Olympians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Vermont basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Wildcats are ranked tenth).

Oxbow's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Hazen, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Oxbow will be playing at home against Winooski at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hazen, they will venture away from home to take on Harwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Harwood knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Hazen likes a good challenge.
