Football Game Preview: Pace Patriots vs. Choctawhatchee Indians

Two dominant signal callers in Amaya Pablo and Diaris Morales are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Pace Patriots will face off against the Choctawhatchee Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Pace is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Destin: they outscored them in every quarter. The Patriots blew past the Sharks 27-6 on Monday. The victory was nothing new for the Patriots as they're now sitting on six straight.

Pablo was her usual excellent self, rushing for 125 yards and one TD on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 209 yards and three touchdowns while completing 74.1% of her passes. Those 125 rushing yards gave her a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Choctawhatchee owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They claimed a resounding 28-0 win over Niceville. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked second, while the Eagles are ranked 89th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Choctawhatchee and bumps their season record up to 12-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 18 points in those games. As for Pace, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1.

Pace came up short against Choctawhatchee in their previous matchup back in March, falling 21-14. Can the Patriots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
