Volleyball Recap: Weeping Water Takes a Loss

Weeping Water was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Lourdes Central Catholic Knights. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-11, 25-14.

Despite the defeat, Weeping Water saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ella Huskey had 19 digs and nine assists.

Weeping Water's loss dropped their record down to 4-27. As for Lourdes Central Catholic, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-10.

Weeping Water does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lourdes Central Catholic, they will be playing at home against Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
