Basketball Recap: Appling Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Appling Christian Academy lost against Faith Baptist Christian Academy back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Appling Christian Academy Eagles had to suffer through a 81-39 loss at the hands of the Faith Baptist Christian Academy Crusaders. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-14.

Despite the loss, Appling Christian Academy had strong showings from Xzayvier Anderson, who posted 11 points, and Jaden Drake, who earned ten points and three steals. Braylen Brooks was another key player, putting up three points and three steals.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Faith Baptist Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aidan Massey, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 boards. Another player making a difference was Gerald Boyd, who went 7 for 13 on his way to 20 points.

Appling Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Faith Baptist Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-12.

Appling Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Faith Baptist Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Wayne Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Faith Baptist Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.6 points per game this season.
